Exploring Britt, Ontario

Just 100 km south of Sudbury and 65 km north of Parry Sound, Britt sits where Trail C of the OFSC snowmobile trail crosses the Magnetawan River at Byng Inlet. On Georgian Bay Small Craft Chart 2203, you’ll find us at mileage 62 from Parry Sound — a perfect waypoint or home port for exploring Georgian Bay’s endless inlets and islands.

Rooted in a proud past, many of Britt’s residents trace their lineage back to the pioneers who worked the lumber mills, CPR Coal Docks, and commercial fishing fleets in the late 1800s and early 1900s. That same spirit of hard work and community pride still defines Britt today — a friendly harbor on the world‑famous Georgian Bay where visitors quickly feel at home.
